We sourced beautiful fruit from the Texas High Plains for this wine, which is the first varietal Mourvèdre we have produced. This wine hints at aromas of ripe red cherries, black currant, baking spices, clove, white peppercorns and floral notes. The palate confirms the nose while offering a medium body, with moderate acidity, smooth tannins and an elegant finish.

Racker’s Blend is an estate grown powerhouse! We blend 41% Aglianico, 30% Tempranillo, 15% Petite Sirah, 7% Malbec and 7% Syrah. We find aromas of black cherries, strawberries, figs, leather and earth. The palate hints at dried fruit and smokiness. Rackers is full-bodied, with an opulent mouthfeel, medium acidity, chalky tannins and a long finish.
Our Estate Syrah was field blended as 93% Syrah and 7% Petite Sirah. It is a richly textured wine, throwing notes of black cherries, herbaceous components and peppercorns at the nose. The palate confirms the nose, providing a medium body, moderate acidity, with solid tannins and a peppery finish.
Ruby red in color, this estate Tempranillo is made in the classic Texas-style. On the nose, find ripe red fruits and leather. The palate is fruit forward, exhibiting both fresh and baked red fruits, along with leather and strawberry candies. The wine offers a medium plus acidity, and gritty tannins that are reminiscent of Texas terroir. The finish is smooth and lingering.
Using our 2014 Estate Racker's Blend as a base, we've fortified and aged this wine 3 1/2 years in American and French oak barrels. With velvety tannins, medium acidity, and a long finish, this wine is extracted, powerful, and smooth. Aromas of dark fruit, nuts, caramel, and raisins carry through to the palate, where you'll also find flavors of cocoa, white chocolate and cinnamon. Perfect for sipping by the fire after a hearty winter meal!
