The 2020 vintage of this perennial Perissos favorite breaks new ground with even greater complexity and finesse.  It opens with a pale gold color, and a nose of apple, pear and peach with white floral and roasted hazelnut notes.  The rich, viscous palate confirms the fruit signature and honeyed, toasted hints with a bright acidity and a clean finish.  It is silky but with some weight, like the great examples of this aromatic Rhone varietal.  A natural complement to shellfish and seafood, the 2020  Roussanne also pairs well with pates, chicken, creamed dishes and cheeses.
